It has been a little while since I last posted anything of note here on this site. I have the usual round of excuses most of which are been busy etc, etc – however I there is one thing that I have been working on that I would like to share with you. As some of you might know I also write articles for .:Enow whom are the vendors of the popular “Mailscape” Exchange monitoring / reporting solution. In addition to Mailscape they also provide Exchange consultancy services which is kind of where my relationship with them comes in.

In late 2007 .:Enow setup the ESE (the Exchange Solutions Engine) which is a free online blog resource, written by Exchange MVPs and other messaging experts, which can be access via their site here: http://www.enowconsulting.com/ese/blog.asp

Why am I plugging this here?

Well recently I was asked to write a detailed step by step article on how you can setup and configure Outlook Anywhere and the Autodiscover service, as it seems to be a very popular question in and around the online Exchange forums. I found this to be a very interesting area of Exchange 2007 and the article ended up being spread over two parts which include discussion of the following issues:

· Understanding your Domain Namespaces

· Understanding your SSL requirements

· Configuration of the OA and Autodiscover Services

· Configuration of Outlook

· Troubleshooting

The first part of the article is now published via the URL above - please feel free to pop over to have a look – I am sure that if this is an area which you are looking into at the moment you will find it useful.

Cheers
